Bingo - moose style

Thursday - Moose date 2/18/10 - there we were - bright and early 5pm (next stop early bird haha) and the place was jamming. There were no empty tables so we had to muscle in on a table that a couple of guys were sitting at. Talk about a full house - or was it that nothing else was happening in Big Pine???? Either way...the game was pretty cool $1.00 per card for 2 hands. The winnings ran between $30-70 per hand....the jokes were free and the drinks were reasonable. There were a couple of biker dudes that we met last Sundat at the antique bike show and some friends we had been trying to get together with since we got down here. My girlfriend Gail had just bec ome a W.O.T.M (women of the Moose) so in celebration we all gave her the "Moose wave" Yes.....for all my buddies back home.....this is MUCH more fun when you are drinking!!!! Friday, even though it was cloudy and cold, we went to Marathon and had lunch at the Sunset Grille right over the 7 mile bridge on the water. It is a very neat restaurant with a heated swimming pool. After talking to the bartender for a while he told us of a grand re-opening pool party next Sunday - sounds like a plan to me!!!! Now today, Saturday, the weather turned warm and sunny so we decided to ride to Key West. Our neighbor, Jim, was going to join us - fun, fun, fun.....not!!! First we heard on the radio that there was an accident on Mile Marker 18 and one on Mile Marker 70 We are at 30 and Key West is zero) Not good but we decided to try anyway. After a grueling hour Jim's bike overheated and wouldn't start. Long story short Slim Dog rode home and got jumper cables and Jim was back on the road. Oh well such is life on US l. Tomorrow there will be a party at Jim's - can't hold a good Moose down haha. The time is flying by - hope the winter, for all of you, is too. Keep warm and watch out for spring flowers????
